●Origin of the train name…The Hayato group who played an active part on the stage of ancient Satsuma, Osumi. The courageousness of southen people built the original culture on the stage of the sea and mountain.

●Origin of the train name…The Hitoyoshi - Yoshimatsu interval of Hisatsu Line is a difficult place which links northern Kumamoto to Kagoshima and Miyazaki.
The difficult construction that used the best of the railway technology was carried out with national dignity in the Meiji era.

58654 shines in the glory of an Imperial train made in the native Kyushu at the Moji Railway Bureau.

●Origin of train name… Hitoyoshi is surrounded by mountains on all sides. In the past, it was extremely difficult to go down the Kuma River by boat. The train is named after “Kawasemi” and “Yamasemi”birds,which have traveled freely along the railroad tracks even when the traffic of people is severe.
